Guilt and inferiority complexes abound in our community. It’s understandable. American culture demands the illusion of self sufficiency, despite that complete independence is impossible for anyone. We all depend on others for food, socialization, employment, health care, anything. We all give back. In reality, rugged American individualism is just for show, and it can harm us subconsciously by making us feel insufficient by needing others’ blood/energy.
Repeat after me: “I am a vampire. I may be imperfect, but so is everyone, so I’m perfect for being human. I give back to society. [Fill in your own contributions here.] I have tendrils that clear negative energy whether I realize it or not. I help clean other people’s energy bodies when I drain them, allowing their lives to become unstuck and their physical/emotional/spiritual health to improve. If I’m a sang with a donor, I help him or her feel symbiotic bliss [it’s difficult for many vamps to realize this, but it’s true]. My life helps give meaning and purpose to those around me. Just smiling at others helps me give back to society.”
Repeated affirmations really work to change mindsets. Tell yourself every day how wonderful you are, how much you give back. After some weeks, you’ll believe it more and more on a deep level.
